Crystal Christmas Tree

Here is the Christmas tree – hung with $5 million of Swarovski crystal ornaments in the Zurich, Switzerland Hauptbahnhof (train station). The ornaments, each worth about $100 US, are available for sale below the massive tree. There are three armed guards protecting the tree. (That’s three guards that are armed, not guards with three arms.)

I have a long-time garden blog, a popular garden on America's largest garden tour, and have co-written a book on garden design titled, "Buffalo-Style Gardens: Create a Quirky, One-of-a-Kind Private Garden with Eye-Catching Designs" When I'm not doing all that, I am an advertising designer always out looking to design things to promote your business. Look me up at #jcharlier.

  3. Pretty amazing. I hope it doesn’t fall over! Are you in Switzerland? Cameron

  4. OMG..! What an expensive Christmas tree.

  5. Wow, that’s an amazing amount of swarovsky crystal hanging from that tree! It is stunning to look at. Must seem surreal in person! Jan/ThanksFor2Day

  6. I actually did not see the tree in person. My wife took the photo. She saw it in person and said the photo does not do it justice at all. I hope it doesn’t fall over either! We had a suicidal tree once that fell over twice. I’m pretty sure the Swarovsky tree is secured. And insured.

That really is grand. Thanks for sharing as I’ve never seen a tree full of crystals.
